Quickbooks does online updates and there have been file changes over the last 5-6 months. Load their copy. Enter their registration information. Have Quickbook check for updates and install them. Then open the files. Have moved Quick books to new computers many times. Have never had a problem. Am currently running QB2009.
does anything besides quickbooks read qbx files?
