Subject: Speckindickin and oliebollen

Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa

Speckindickin and oliebollen got me to thinking (I know, dangerous territory!Smile).........my inlaws many years ago made a traditional English dish they called Spotted Tommy. I have no clue what was in it, but it was served with a sauce and the texture was set-up, somewhat like cornmeal mush. It was the foulest tasting stuff I ever ate, and hadn't thought of it in years, until the speckindickin and oliebollen topics surfaced.

Anyone on here ever hear of Spotted Tommy??
