| I'm guessing at your problem here, and assume you are accessing your gmail account through IMAP mail settings. I believe the problem is when you send email from Outlook, it will copy the email to your sent folder in Outlook, as it should, which is on your computer. I assume when you are accessing gmail "(not through outlook)", you are accessing it through your browser right to your gmail account. If so, this means any mail sent through your gmail account while accessing through your browser is NOT automatically copied to your Outlook sent folder.
Hopefully this is clear enough, but, when using Outlook, you use the gmail servers as an interface. Activity in Outlook is shown in Outlook, activity directly accessing gmail is only shown in gmail.
I'm not sure how you could synchronize your sent folders if you are accessing your email through two different interfaces. | |
