| Feeder lambs need very little roughage. Too much roughge just slows the gains and decreases the feed effiency due to the fact that the lambs will be on feed more days. The goal should be to feed just enough fiber to keep the rumen work and to slow the passage of the concentrates for complete digestion. Corn stalks will supply the nessasary amount of fiber easily if you just keep the pens cleanly bedded. | |
