Depends on what you mean by "crashed"

If your lucky your operating system might be corrupted and it just will not boot up. If this is the case, the directory structure and files may be fine. You would just need to pull the HDD and connect it to another computer so you don't need to boot from it.

If something was corrupted in the Master File Table, or the hard drive mechanically failed, then you are looking at data recovery services. Yes sometimes they can work "magic," they will go as far as finding your specific model of hard drive and pulling yours apart in a clean room and replacing parts etc. Their prices generally start in the thousands and come with no guarentees, they usually work on a "best efforts" basis.
