Subject: Richard and the "wise" man have a serious reality disconnect there....



I noted Richard makes this peculiar claim:

the "exploiter" farmer = concerned only with money and profit

the "nurturer" farmer = concerned only with land/animal/family care

Guess what? You can't focus only on money and profit or only land/animal/family care without seriously affecting the other. Profit and proper stewardship of the land and animals under our care are integral to long term and sustainable success in any agricultural operation. And I've seen many agricultural operations fail due to divorce when family care is neglected in the equation.

My question - why is it apparently deemed wrong by Richard and others for farmers/ranchers to make a living in this business?
