that's interesting, littlejohn. I haven't gotten that message, but yesterday (or the day before?) I got a message indicating that an include file could not be found. Lasted for a dozen page refreshes, and then everything resolved and has worked fine since then.

Basically what the message above is saying is that the software thinks there is a "grammatical error" (i.e. syntax error) in the database query that is being used (probably to determine if the user is online). This query is hard-coded in the forum software, and should never change unless an administrator physically changes the code, so it's unusual that you got the error. Usually, if it's truly a bad statement (wrong code), it will happen for every user, every time, and would easily be detected when the software is being written. It's possible, but unlikely, that one of the administrators was actually doing something in that code just as you were trying to log in. I doubt it, though.
