From my understanding however:
1) The OS will be included with the netbook. (don't think it is 'cloud' but rather really lightweight and easy to update via internet - like a browser).
2) I can't promise much in the driver area but you can be darned sure it will run Google Office, Gmail, and Chrome Browser. This is really all that most people use a 'netbook' for.
3) Google has come around to the thinking that the 'beta' tag on their products is frowned upon in the enterprise sector and has thus taken most all of its products out of the 'beta' designation. Gmail for instance.
And really google's beta is better than Microsoft's gold anyways, IMO.
I agree though... I certainly will not be outside a bestbuy at midnight waiting on the first edition. I'll give it a couple weeks/months for them to work out the kinks, but I am watching them.
