Illinois | Its called Stagflation, Carter was hanged by this after the failed policies of Nixon/Ford (neither was conservative) The folks in DC have managed to bring it back from the dead. consequences will be higher inflation rate and slower economic growth. The Fed's only chance to wring this out of the economy requires real economic pain but the political actors will not tolerate it. No one knows how this plays out and over how long it will take. but interest rates are not going down anytime soon. | |
