Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, the problem is the 6500 out of the box is "too fast" for the old Insight. The problem is you can't use the Insight itself to slow down the 6500 since it can not communicate with it at the fast speed. You need to use some other method to slow it down. Once the 6500 is slowed down, you will be fine.
If you had a newer display available that could handle the fast speed, you could use it to "slow down" the 6500. With a dual port cable it is possible to have the two ports operate at different speeds. The confusion can be that the 6500 needs to get its power/ground from Port A so Port A must be used
If you purchased your 6500 through a dealer, they should do this for you.
