| One of my fondness memories of farm equipment auction sales is in the early eighties, I was just out of college and just started farming. My father and I was looking a side delivery bar rake, we went to several farm auctions to bid on a bar rake that was listed and they always brought within 500-600 dollars of a new rake. In May of that year after attending an auction on Saturday we went on Monday morning to the New Holland dealer and brought a new 256 bar rake for $2100. We bid on a NH 256 rake at that auction on Saturday and it brought $1475 and it had some wear to it. | |
