Illinois Heartland | I’m over here in Illinois and our Farm Bureau insurance is Country Financial. A year ago we switched from them to Indiana Farmers. We saved over $1,800 year between our farm, home, and auto policies. Biggest mistake we ever made. We had a bad storm come through last June and had a tree fall on a power line as we were driving home. It clotheslined our new 2500HD truck causing $16,000 damage to it. Indiana Farmers fought me and the repair shop the entire time and lied on several occasions including details on a rental vehicle. Our agent was Loman Ray and they wouldn’t return my calls. Even though it was a Comprehensive claim and not my fault, they flagged my account, so I filed a complaint with the Indiana Insurance fraud unit. I probably should have filed a small claims case to get them to pay the remaining owed, but we finally gave up and went back to Country Financial. | |
