This I agree completely with. In our soils, let's say you are pulling a chisel plow at 5 mph as deep as you can legitimately pull it with a 450 hp tractor. I would imagine if you wanted to go up to 6 mph, or 20%, you had better have another 30 hp, maybe even 50. That would be 10% more power for 20% more speed. Now, let's say you wanted to go 7 mph. That is going to take another 50 HP for sure. So, 40% increase in speed would require 20% more power.
