Subject: ZED-F9P GPS Board as Base for AFS Connect Magnum

Central Nebraska

I've been tinkering for the past week with getting a Sparkfun ZED-F9P GPS receiver board to work as a base station for an AFS Connect Magnum that is currently using CaseIH NTRIP RTK.  My setup includes a Trimble AG25 GPS Antenna connected to the Sparkfun F9P board.  I have a Windows 10 Pro PC running U-Center for config and also RTKLIB STRSVR sending RTCM corrections to RTK2GO so that I don't have to maintain a static IP or DDNS.  At this point I'm not able to get a consistent fix.

One of the issues with the F9P is that it doesn't send out RTCM 1008.  I know that this is generally a requirement for Trimble receivers but do not know if it is for the Vector Pro and cannot find any documentation about it.

Here is what my stream looks like on RTK2GO.  The 1008 message is only coming because I'm using STRSVR to convert the stream and including a blank 1008 message.  It seems to connect and does get a fix but in order for it to connect I have to re-enable the setting each time, even though they look correct.
