Run on the outside of the seed trench and drag closed. Probably a good time to check how much play is in the closing wheel arm bushings and take care of that issue while you there. We run two washers but have the martin crumbler wheels on.
I believe the more wear you have the less washers you'll use as the wheel will tend to travel farther to the outside of the seed trench.
