Subject: RE: Best cooking oil

Western Oregon
My nutritionist says butter from grass fed animals is best for my heart. 2nd would be cold pressed virgin olive oil. I can't do cows milk so I use goats milk and make my own butter. About 2lbs a month. Dr. says some is better than none. Also oily fish is good, grilled. No bacon grease because of nitrates and nitrites and I don't make my own anymore. Like butter flavor better, never liked plain lard. No deep fat fried foods for me anymore. Once a year, I do get a Halibut sandwich at Arctic Circle. Otherwise I eat very little processed foods....James
