Assuming you installed an organic (or rag) disc, it's normal for a new one to grab closer to the end of the pedal travel. The reason for this is because the friction material is much "softer" than the old glazed over one you just replaced, and because many of those discs use a cushion spring in between the two facings. If the clutch otherwise works OK, I wouldn't fret too much over it. The grab point at the pedal will gradually start to raise as the disc gets harder and loses some of its coefficient of friction.
