Subject: Water for rotational Grazing

Looking for suggestions.

I'm starting to plan out pasture water using 3/4 hdpe and quick couplers. I have a well on the place that does pretty good and will only pump dry in a fairly dry summer. I have town water here also and I'm trying to decide if I want to use the well and install a pump or hook into the town water.

I like the ease of town water (and it won't go dry) and not having to mess with the pump but it comes at more cost. Currently the well only waters 1 primary trough with a pump in the well. We have to switch it on to water. The well is at the bottom of a hill and I have water piped to the top of the hill where the current trough is. The current wiring to the well needs replaced.

We are currently watering 15 head but plan to double that in the future.
