Pat,

I assume that your agent was initiating a claim? I would be sure to talk to your adjuster BEFORE you harvest any of the wheat. Make sure you understand and make notes of what he or she tells you to do regarding testing protocol. If you could get this in writing it would be great (like e-mail, or e-mail him/her a confirmation of your discussion) If not contemporaneous notes are still better than nothing.

Remember in section A you can use more than one discount factor added together. So you could get the grading factor discount along with the damage factor or the test weight factor. Do you have a copy of the rules with the charts from the SPOI? If not shoot me a note with your county and type of policy (CRC, RA, etc) and I can get one to you.
