| In Internet Explorer, click on Tools>Internet Options>Content and click the Settings button for Autocomplete and see what is checked. If Usernames and Passwords on Forms is already checked, try putting a check mark in the Prompt me to save passwords box, click OK and OK, close IE and restart, then go to a site and enter your username and password and see if you are prompted for it to be saved.
As for McAfee...any luck with uninstalling it? Also, what OS are you running? Vista? XP? How long has McAfee been doing this? Is it possible you could go back to an earlier Restore Point? | |
