Cedar Rapids, Iowa | Sounds like you got the "Anti-Virus 2009" virus. I've seen it a few times myself. You can use MalwareBytes Anti-Malware to remove it.
The whole premise is that you get this fake anti-virus product, which is really a virus. Then it tells you that you have a virus, and if you pay them, they will fix it for you.
If you paid money to the fake virus company, call your credit card company and tell them you were tricked and want your money back. These credit card companies should have shut these guys down a long time ago. | |
