you should be deleting Tasks after each season, so unless you're filling up 1200 Tasks per season (planting, harvesting, etc.), it should never be an issue.
Also, I would expect that this issue will be fixed in a future software release, so next spring it shouldn't be a problem. Also, it seems to only be affecting high-population crops. In corn it doesn't seem to be an issue.
