Penicillin, as an effective antibiotic, has seen its better days years and years ago. The label is so conservative that I would seriously question whether 3ccs will do anything for the calf. If the calf really does have respiratory problems you would be much better served to give Baytril 100, Micotil, or Nuflor along with Banamine. Micotil is an extremely deadly drug to humans and I only use it if I have the animal restrained. Baytril is still pretty effective and I don't have any experience with Nuflor. If the calf gets better with the treatment you gave her I would guess that she really wasn't too sick because that level of Pen just isn't going to do much.
