I agree with you that it was a bad decision on Oliver/Whites part to work that engine so hard. It's underbuilt for the application. Years ago I had no idea that engine was an issue when I bought mine. It starts good and is reasonable on fuel, but I expect the engine will fail. I bought it cheap enough it won't matter much if it goes.
