Central Western VA Mountains | For haying - speeding up and slowing down while square baling, how does the White-Oliver over and under compare to IH's TA and MF's Multipower?
I gather the over under is 3 ranges? I assume one could set it at the mid range and speed-up or slow down a range on the fly as needed?
Are these things durable and reasonably serviceable?
Main gear shifter on the White - Oliver is floor mounted? Sparing the tractor of complicated linkages from the operator station/cab to the transmission - not unlike a crashbox transmission? How is the over and under actuated? Is it a lever to some hydraulic valve of some sort and can it be shifted on the move?
School me on these Oliver-White tractors for haying. I'm window shopping Oliver 1850's, White 2-85's, 2-88's and 2-105's.
Thanks! |
