Clinton County, Michigan | We bought a Dell Mini 10v in our excavator for GPS locating. It has a 16GB solid state hard drive so there is no moving parts. And the screen's sunlight readability is amazing.
Here are some pros and cons to netbooks (no certain order)
+Compact and very light weight
+Cost is very low
-Compact keys & touch pad, small screen
-Not a very fast computer(memory is not upgradable), but good enough for the basics.
-No disc drive (CD/DVD), but you could add one through USB
-Battery is small, although they do offer a bigger one for an upgrade fee. Just depends on if you'll be plugged in most of the time.
WinXP (+ for those that hate Vista)
+Still has integrated sound speakers
+Webcam (never used ours but could be useful i guess)
