Good point. Out of an abundance of caution, I like to give the benefit of the doubt to the authorities, they do see some gruesome stuff.
The guy patiently and politely waited 30 minutes in the cold. He lucidly answered all questions and didn’t fall for any verbal trickery. And he blew clean twice.
What else can he do to defend himself? He told the truth and politely complied and maintained his composure.
I have had run ins with these guys before. What a bunch of a holes.
