Do you have a rotating firepot head /ring?
Not that I have experience stoker of my own, but from my memory of a very good freinds coal furnaces, you probably should have mixed that coal you have half and half with fresh stocker coal just to keep the dusty stuff flowing in with the new stoker coal.That stuff sure looks dried out but, thats not a problem as long as it doesnt back burn in the stoker auger and it isnt so air tight it snuffs out the air flow in the fire pot.
Dont want to burn something down.......There was a shop close by that went to the ground here from a stoker fire about 25 years ago.
