West central IL | This one shook me. Woke up one night. Never saw a "ghost" before or since, but when I awoke there was a dark figure standing over my wife's side of the bed. Like a man in a dark cloak. At first I honestly thought I just had something in my eyes, so I rubbed them with both hands and looked again. Still there. I remember being in disbelief so I leaned to one side and kinda c0cked my head to look sideways. Still there. And it started feeling very evil. I knew it wasn't quite a man. I started yelling at it to go away and obviously my wife woke up. As she woke up it just kinda dematerialized. I told her I thought I saw something but it was nothing but she could tell I was shaken. I didn't tell her all the details until weeks later. Maybe it was just fuzzy eyes or a half dream, but still bothers me today, years later. | |
