| In some places in the Dakotas there is "no bid", no bid because they're just not buying at any price. They're not buying because they've completely lost their usual market. Now "no bid" essentially means the basis is -$8, Sooner or later some producers will sell for some ridiculous price like $5 and then the merchants there will realize they can sell beans into your traditional markets for far less than your price.
When that happens you won't be thinking that it's all because of a "big crop".
