EXACTLY. You are apparently very dense. There are basically NO inputs with a pasture especially one with good fence and water. On the other hand a dry lot requires feeding every day and supply water as well as a better mineral program and cleaning the pen. Those are all INPUTS and cost a lot more than a pasture. Therefore a dry lot COSTS MORE than a pasture lease and is a great basis to compare against pasture lease asking prices.

But I think we are talking about different things here.
I am talking about renting grass or hiring a feedlot to take care of cows. I would pay the pasture guy more than the feedlot. It makes no difference to me what either one have for input costs.
I assume you are talking about drylot them yourself.
