farmers willing to take one for the team, is " will they take the govt payment/pain medicine trump is promising to ease the pain from killing our grain markets?" i imagine they will all say no, but will be at the trough like the rest of the farmers. i wonder what trump will promise all the other business that are going to get hit hard by this trade war, will he promise these companies that he will give them some kind of payment in kind to keep their head above water or are the farmers the only ones that get this. i would think that the farmer would have a tough time to convince his cousins in the city areas that they deserve a payment and not them, all good pr for the american farmers.
Other businesses... what about the other crops besides grains that are getting hit hard. Some of the other non supported crops are seeing a 120% duty and it’s not just China, it’s the EU, it’s Turkey, it’s India, it’s many of our trading partners for the non commodity crops firing back. |
