| No, you're not missing anything. My bad for using returns based on the way they are always calculated, in compounded rate of return. In my reply I conceded that he was in fact not using compound returns the way he stated it.I hereby acknowledge that I didn't catch what he meant the first time I read it. And I am a firm believer that the stock market is the place to be for folks in the accumulation phase of retirement savings. Hard to beat putting money in systematically over a forty year timeframe. I just don't share the irrational exuberance regarding expected returns that several on here convey. Fair 'nuff?
