North Central Kansas | I visited with our exchange student that lives near Fritzlar in the Hessen region of Central Germany. He told me that it had been very dry in that region as well and that they expected their wheat yields to be very poor. When we were there last year they thought their wheat was poor and it was probably yielding over 5 ton per acre or 75 bushels per acres. This year appears much worse than that from his descriptions. He also mentioned the fires that Georg talked about. | |
