Our crop looks way better than last year, but I agree on the cool August temps and the long-range forecast tools to which I subscribe says that isn’t going to happen again, at least here. Our corn is supposed to black layer by the last week of August.

Our corn is much more even than last year, the April massacre left some N issues and some uneven-ness that Didn’t show up until too late to fix. The top end was crazy but it wasn’t as uniform as it could have been.

Have a bunch of late maturing beans planted and September temps are supposed to be below average here 2-3 degrees so I have high hopes for those again if we get rain and get them cut.
