Ohio | Wife and I are looking at putting a fireplace in our big living room. We have all electric heat at our house now. We would like a fire place to make the room more cozy and it would look nice. I’m thinking I want to spend the money on a gas fireplace so we have a backup source of heat Incase the power goes out and to keep our electric bill down. Any thoughts and dos and do nots for a fireplace? We have low ceiling in our house. Only 8’ but it’s a good size room to heat and faces the West, so it gets beat on by the wind a bit. | |
