Near-north Ontario, French River | Hmmmm good question, I've never been around tabbaco but I seemed to recall someone saying its 'chew', so does that make it burley or black??. Tobacco for for cigarettes is on its way out of Ontario, government is basically shutting down the industry ( growers are being compensated to leave the industry), but those that grow tobacco for the 'chew' market are actaully expanding.
