It appears trend is fairly accurate. Normal? What the heck is normal? If you really want to scare yourself take a look at a 2004 corn crop that was almost 13% above trend. Plug that into a fork
Too bad you have a problem with some of the tools we mention. So much can be learned by by three little clicks on a chart. Perceived randomness becomes geometric precision even with "13 percent above trend yields"....
