Illinois | If I figured right then about 28 tons per acre, which is less than normal for our area. We only chop a bag and a half. Normal is 7.5 acres and this year I think it's about 8.5 acres. Last year they yeild checked it at 178. We chopped roughly 1/3 of that small feild and combined the rest. The portion we combined made 262 so I don't much faith in their yeild checks.
This year may be more accurate because they weighed the ears instead of counting kernals. | |
