Check out a Mak grill. I have a one star with flame zone and I love it. I can smoke or grill hot and fast. Good control of temp. I sometimes use my "grill grates" too when doing steaks. Have done briskets over 14 hours at 225 without refilling hopper. I upgraded from a Traeger lil Tex and my wife now likes my steaks. They have a charcoil taste not just a smoked tast since I can get up to 500 or more degrees, especially with the grill grates.
