NW Illinois Stephenson county
Use an Ozone generator for a few days and you will be happy. My Mom left the cats into the basement all winter so they could keep warm and it smelled like it too. Flash forward 20-30 years. I was using Ozone to treat my water and the plastic fitting broke thus allowing the Ozone to go into the basement instead of being suck into the water line. Ozone caused the plastic fittings to deteriorate over time. All hints of cat smell were gone! Our veterinarians use one at the office to keep the air smelling clean.

It also works to remove smoke smell from smoking or fire damage. Good luck!
