Bloomington and Putnam IL | Your wife is giving you good advice. I have been running for 5 years or so now after wanting to run a race with my son back when he was 11 or 12. At the time my left knee was killing me and I was close to 200 pounds. First battle was getting around the block. First 5K was 31 minutes and felt like quiting every step. Now I'm a pretty good 5K small town runner who usually finishes in the top 10% at in the mid 22s. Running still is still not fun but the sweat process after is well worth it. It does seem to "kick start" the weight loss process. Good luck! |
