I don't want to know if I am going to die tomorrow.  If I did, I would have a whole bunch of regrets: worked too much, didn't enjoy myself enough, didn't appreciate things enough etc.  BUT, I won't be changing how I live so those regrets will always be there.  SO, not knowing means I won't dwell on it at all!  It is kind of hard to regret things when you are dead.....
