NE Nebraska
I don't know for sure how much variability there is in the 1760 tool bar. We used to run 36" rows. We bought a 1760 12 row 30" and turned it into a 10 row 36". More recently we went to 30" rows and put the planter back to original. Going 10 row 36" on ours put row units right on the hinge points. Some fairly involved welding work was done by a local mechanic/friend to make it work. Should of just gone to 30" when we bought the planter. I assume your 1760 is the front fold type like ours but may have different dimensions. The biggest thing would be to pull a tape and see where the hinge point lands. If a row needed to be at the hinge I might avoid the idea. Just my 2 cents.
