My guess would be yes but perhaps a bit laggy - slight delay between what is happening and what you see on screen.
You might have to download the app and sideload if it says not compatible.
This is fairly common but only means they haven't specifically checked that exact device. 
If it can't cope an inexpensive small tablet is the way to go - you don't need cell service it can get mapping on wifi at home or hotspot from your phone
