Well, despite saying above maybe a small tablet, how about updating the phone as you might want to anyway soon?
If it's your own rather than on contract, consider a refurb such as Samsung S5 which will run it with ease and is a very nice phone too.
I had a similar predicament with original version of MotoG not up to the job and almost pleased to have done this update - much better with really nice camera on it too.
