Previous driver was one of those that was hammer down. Would leave tracks on the hard dirt road where the wheels would spin leaving the driveway. I can't imagine how few miles they would get on a set of brakes and tires.

Guy we have now is not quite so hard on his truck. But I find it interesting he shuts it off every time, even if he sees me walking over to the truck. Suppose a bean counter somewhere realized fuel was more expensive than starters.

He has complained that they get all the worn out trucks from California because they send new ones out there for EPA reasons. They get all the second-hand trucks out here where we apparently don't care about air pollution.
