Subject: RE: International 5100 drill

SW WI
I have a 5400 No-till on the back of a coulter cart. The carts varied but the earlier Case IH carts were built by Blu-jet. The coulters were ok then but are obsolete now! Make sure you keep them greased! I'm going to switch mine to DMI coulters as the check book allows. The drill came from Illinois and was used for beans. It has the SI belt meters on it. I highly recommend them to anyone reguardless of what crop you are planting or what make of drill you have! I love the drill but parts are expensive and hard to come by! The only difference between mine and a 5300 would be that the 5300 is just a conventional drawn double disk drill. 5400 no-till's are a mounted drill with a lead disk opener. I don't know much about a 5100 but this may give you some insight as to what else is out there!
