SC Iowa | I am assuming that you are talking about selling 2017 in the Dec of 17 or March of 18??
what is real interesting right now is that the spreads between Dec and March of both this year and next are trading at about the same level of 9 cents......
in big crop years it is not unusual to see the Z/H spread blow out to 12-13 cents
now as far as that new crop spread, my bias is that, from 9 cents today, you will see that spread trade sometime at 6 before it trades 12....
so, if you are using a low cost brokerage, I would be tempted to put a new short hedge in the H18 for now.....
