Im not trying to argue or be a smartbutt, but I would say your mowing activity this summer destroyed their cover and habitat. And gave them no place to hide or get away from the predators such as coyotes and hawks.
I'll agree with this. I let a patch run wild this summer and I've had more jack rabbits and cotton tails than we've seen in 20 years. Cleaned it up to sow grain and the bunnies all but disappeared. |
